A [[Lego Island Changelog]] has been discovered alongside the alleged Lego Island beta. It is archived here for posterity.
==Analysis==
The changelog was provided out of order, it appears the latter half are the first builds starting in June 3, 1997, and the first half are the later builds ending at July 24, 1997. It can be inferred through this that Lego Island was in beta for nearly two months, and the [[Lego Island Versions|first retail release]] was only about two weeks later (on August 8th 1997).
The changelogs for the early builds contain information on playing/beating the game, as well as preemptive apologies for bugs, ostensibly for testers. The first build's changelog also instructs players to uninstall previous versions of Lego Island and manually delete registry keys, implying there may have been pre-beta/alpha versions of Lego Island distributed to testers.
Occasionally, the changelog lists a fix for a bug that remains present in the retail versions and/or appear again running on later versions of Windows (particularly crashes involving leaving the game). These sections of the game may have been poorly implemented and fixed via patches or workarounds that later became incompatible with more modern versions of Windows, causing the original bug to emerge.
