New page

The following are random semi-interesting tidbits found while reverse engineering the game.

== Discoveries==

=== "Walk around" at the registration book ===
In a hex editor, open [[Local Files|LEGO1.DLL]] and go to offset '''0x7616C''' (September build only). There, change the '''06''' to a '''07''' and save. When you open the game now and open the registration book, rather than the usual dialogue, the Infomaniac will be frozen in space. You can then use the mouse or arrow keys to move around as you would on the main island, however as the Infomaniac is the only 3D object on screen, he'll be the only object that moves on screen.

It's theorized the 06/07 values are some kind of flag for setting whether a 3D scene is a cutscene or the main world, and setting it to 07 flips the registration book scene into world mode.

While the letter buttons are clickable, they don't enter any letters essentially rendering most of the game unplayable in this state.
